So after the Ransomware attack named WastedLock shut Garmin down, some services have started to come online.
It appears they have been given the decryption key, now is this something they worked out or did they pay the $10 Million dollars that was being demanded. Even if they paid the money, whose to say this could not happen again unless they are sure they are removed all traces of this from their systems.
An official statement has said “Affected systems are being restored and we expect to return to normal operation over the next few days”
A number of my friends use Garmin watches and they were reporting yesterday they are still having problems.
