Sony backs down in Fortnite argument

So it appears Sony Playstation have backed down in the argument about allowing players of Fortnite to battle people on other systems

THey have said they have identified a path to allow cross play on certain games, one of the reasons before was child protection. This never sounded true, how are children in more danger online playing against people on other platforms.

It was really bad previously as if people had used their account on a PS4 then they were not able to use the account on any other platforms, like the Nintendo Switch or the XBox.

President on Sony Entertainment said in a statement: "We recognise that PS4 players have been eagerly awaiting an update, and we appreciate the community's continued patience as we have navigated through this issue to find a solution.

"We have completed a thorough analysis of the business mechanics required to ensure that the PlayStation experience for our users remains intact today, and in the future, as we look to open up the platform," he said.
