Gitlab Database Outage - Great Honesty
I was reading the other day about Gitlab's outage they had at the end of January. This didn't affect Gitlab Enterprise, Githost Customers and Self hosted customers.
There was some data loss because of the outage, but they did not try and cover it up or come up with any kind of excuses, instead they done something you don't hear of enough and that was to be 100% transparent and they have listed all the issues they had and what they done to get the service back up and running. They also listed all the steps they will take to ensure they don't have the issues again.
If you use this service or you work in the IT industry I think you will find this a good read and I commend them for being so open.
