Kindle Paperwhite Review

This is my thoughts about the Kindle Paperwhite. This to me is one of the best gadgets I have ever purchased, I love this little thing.

I bought this previously as I was going away to Cornwall in the summer. I love reading, however I have the Kindle app on my iPad, but I did not want to take this to the beach with all the water from the kids and the sand.

I have previously always bought an actual proper book, but I don’t like it when the book gets wet and the pages screw up, I like actual books to stay nice and pristine. So I thought I would try this, I can have a few books on here and don’t have to worry as this is waterproof so perfect for the beach. When I bought this is had 25% off at the time. Amazon are always doing deals on these so it can pay to wait.

This easily fits into my pocket, very light, the battery lasts for ages before you have to charge this up, literally you can go many days before having to charge this up.

This is a great present for the readers in your lives, even for people that have trouble seeing, you can increase the text so it makes it easier for the people to read.

Another great use of the Kindle is that you can listen to your audiobooks from Audible. I had never tried audio books before having this so I thought I would try one. The Airpods work fine with it, this is great as you can get on the train, click play then leave it in your pocket and listen away.

The only small criticism I have is that is does not seem as responsive as the app on the iPad, this may be as the Kindle is not as powerful, and it is only a small issue, it’s just sometime you press and it takes a short while to respond. But in summary I can’t rate this highly enough, easily one of the best gadgets I own and would recommend this to anyone.

I have bought one for my daughter as she also loves to read. Since she has had this she had read even more than before, and I encourage that, I have even set her kindle up so she can purchase books whenever she likes.

You are able to put a password lock on the device if you are worried about losing this, people won’t be able to access your books.
