So I bit the bullet and bought an Apple Pencil, so far I have had it for a couple of weeks and I have mixed thoughts. For what I use it for it is an amazing product, but it is hugely overpriced I think.
So far I have been using this mainly for marking up PDF’s and Documents, for this it is fantastic, you can easily add details pick exactly what you want, just quickly add a note, highlight something on the page.
Also it has been good when using my Web email client for my work as I dont need to enlarge the screen to click on one of the buttons.
One of the other main uses is for a quick note. For example you have your meeting wrapped up, iPad all shut then the good old, one more thing. Instead of having to open everything up again, I can tap on the lock screen with the pencil and quickly scribe down what I need to without having to unlock the iPad and open an app to note anything down.
The charging on it is not that much of an issue although I would like it if it had some sort of status so you can see how much charge is available. If it does need a quick charge then plugging this into your iPad for 30 seconds will give you quite a bit of juice. If you do need a longer user case then just leave it connected to your iPad or iPhone.
If you are draw on the iPad then this will be fantastic for you, I am not so I don’t use this for its full capability, but what I do use it for is great, however I do feel there are probably other basic styluses out there that would accomplish the same thing for my use case.
I am always interested in your thoughts so if you have any comments or feedback then please feel free to add any comments, or you can mail me here.
