Netgear WiFi Range Extender N300 Range
I bought this over Christmas as in my house in one of the bedrooms you can't get any wifi and the girls were starting to get restless not having access to the interwebs. I had been looking around at a few different offerings.
The main reason I went for this one was, if I am totally honest, it was on sale on Amazon it was half price, so I thought I would try it and for £15 if it didn't work out I wouldnt be too much out of pocket.
It was very simple to set up, I have used it to extend my network, so I have also named it the same as my current network, not sure why it tries to get you to name if differently if you are using it to extend your current network.
So it has the same name and password and so far it has been working perfectly, it does the job as its intended. They can now stream netflix, watch youtube and play their games. Also if you want to stop their access you can just switch it off.
Some details of the device are listed below. It only sticks out the plug socket about an inch and a half, the kids have never managed to knock into it. It supports 802.11B, 802.11G, 802.11n.
