Sign out of Netflix on Samsung Smart TV

I was away last week on holiday. When I was in the apartment they had a Samsung Smart TV. The previous occupant had signed into Netflix, but I could not watch anything on their account as it said it was already signed in on too many devices, I had to log them out before I could log in.

In the Netflix app on the TV there is no sign out option, which is strange. You can do this but it takes a bit of a strange combination.

When you are in the app, do the following. Using the arrows on your remote follow the sequence: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up.

From there you can select Sign Out or Deactivate, then from there you can go through the long process of putting it your account details and password using the TV remote.

Just remember if you do this set a calendar entry for the day you leave so you don’t leave yourself signed in!
