Airpods and losing connection on one, flashing orange light

So for the second time in two weeks, one of my Airpods has stopped working (both times the right one). I get it out the case, the light is flashing Orange and its only when I put the left one in do I get the chime and then I can play music but only out of one.

The only thing I know to do is disconnect them from the device in this case my iPod, then hold the button and re -sync them to the device. Once this is done they worked perfectly again.

It’s not too much of an issue and time to re-sync them, just annoying.

Anyone else having these problems?
