I have been using my new iPhone 11 Pro Max now for just over a month, so far it's been ok. For me the hardest thing to get over is the loss of the home button. I went from an 8 to this one. I never had the X, this came out about 3-4 months after the 8. I have gotten used to it now but it is an initial shock.
I like the extra screen estate so fully understand why it was done, I just liked the button. The performance of the phone is noticeable over the 8 I had before, but I have a few apps that have had a problem, they are sluggish and I have to keep logging out and back in all the time, highly frustrating, they worked perfectly before on the 8, but it seems to be since running on this phone some are not there, so annoying having to always log out and back in before you can use the phone.
I do like the new way you can transfer the data from your old device to your new one, that is good. However with any new phone you have to go through setting up the devices apps you use for two factor authentication, plus your cards etc for Apple Pay, this can take some time, there is always a couple you miss as you don’t use them that often.
There are a couple of things that change, with the way you take screen shots, switch the device off and use Apple Pay, but this are simple enough to learn.
The three cameras are good and it gives you the options, honestly so far I haven’t really used them all alot, it is nice just to be able to switch, where as before all the pinch and zooming, a simple swipe and you have the options. To me the best one is doing the 0.5 especially when you are taking a wide photo, especially when taking photos recently trying to get all the family in, this make it easy. You can also slowly move them and you get a scale so you can easily adjust so you can get the right zoom if you want to.
