Just heard Twitter has patched a bug
Was just driving home and heard that Twitter have patched a bug that could of allowed our Direct messages to be used by Developers without your consent.
This may of been around since May 2017, they say its only affected 1% of the user base. Twitter says
"We have no evidence to suggest that any data was improperly misused or exploited anywhere," , emphasizing that the bug could only occur if a series of complex criteria were met. "There's virtually no possibility that this happened, but we still want to be thorough."
They are going to look into this some more and continue investigating, they contact certain thirs party developers.
No private messages between individual users were shared with external software developers, the Twitter spokeswoman said.
