So on the 16th March, There will be no more support for Twitter on the Mac. The official statement says:
As part of our ongoing effort to streamline our apps and provide a more consistent and up-to-date Twitter experience across platforms, we are no longer supporting the Twitter for Mac app.
On Friday February 16, we announced through @TwitterSupport that the app is no longer available for download, and starting March 16th will no longer be supported.
But, not to worry, for the full Twitter experience on your Mac, visit Twitter on web.
I do like the twitter app on the mac, it will still work but no more updates etc moving forward. Do you still use the desktop application, or are you web or mobile only?
