Seem to be getting errors on /private/var/log/asl/G80.asl

Recently while doing my SuperDuper backups I seem to be having a few I/O errors and it won't back up these files.  There is also a few other of these asl files, hopefully this won't be the start of hard drive issues.

These are all Apple System Logs and are safe to delete.  You can if you like view the logs by using the syslog facility.

To do this type

/usr/bin/syslog -f /private/var/log/asl/2018.07.29.G80.asl

Does anyone have some more information about these files or more details of how to delve deeper into them?

I am always interested in your thoughts so if you have any comments or feedback then please feel free to add any comments, or you can mail me  here.
