Jabra Solemate

Jabra SolemateThis is my review of the Jabra Solemate.  You can read my initial first impressions, and I recommend you do as well as this review.

As I have mentioned before, in my humble opinion this has been the best portable speaker I have ever used.  I have had iPod docking stations and other speakers before, and the build quality, the sound has been the best.

When you purchase the speaker it also comes with some accessories.  It comes with a USB Charging and data cable (USB to Micro USB), Charging wall plug, to plug the USB cable into, the plug comes apart so easier to store away, but the best accessory is the Durable Sound bag that comes with the speaker.  It's worth noting all the accessories fit in the bottome of the box.

The bag is Sand and Rain resistant, at the weekend with the weather being good, it came the time to start the gardening and clean out the garage/shed.  AccessoriesThe speaker was placed into the bag and put on the shelf, my iPod nano was in my pocket and I could happily work away with some cool tunes on so it's not as bad.  After a couple of hours, the bag was covered in dust but the actual speaker itself was still clean and working perfectly.  So to me this is great, because if you have this bag you can take this speaker anywhere.  Even if your older iPod doesn't have bluetooth you could use the cable and also pop your iPod in the bag.

It says the device will run for 8 hours of continuous play on a single charge, I have used this for around six hours so far, and that was straight out the box, so I can see this will last around that time.  What I have tested this on this for a few times, is when I am not using this for Music, I have this siting on my desk and using this as a speaker phone for my phone.  I have the phone in a stand and when people call it comes through the speaker so I can still have my hands free to continue working etc.
