Evernote Home - Initial thoughts
So Evernote has rolled out some pretty big changes recently. The biggest is the new Home Page.
This gives an overview page of everything. You can see recent notes, recently captured, Shortcuts, Tags Notebooks and a very nice feature, a scratch pad so you can scribble down quick notes.
This is fully customisable for your specific needs, but I think this is a great new addition to the app. Evernote has not really changed for a long while and there are so many options out there many people may of drifted away to other apps.
I really like this, it has only been a couple of days since I have updated this on the Mac, currently you can get this on the Mac, Windows and the Web Version. The mobile versions will be following in the next few weeks.
I will have to deep dive into this a bit more, a bit gutted actually as I have spent some time in Notion and had designed a nice dashboard to do most of what this Evernote home page can do.
So initial thoughts are this is an excellent feature to add, I still think the one thing they really need is bookmarks inside long notes, like a table of contents for the page.
Once this is on all devices and can sync this across all devices I think this will become more important.
