Webcube - Home Broadband in a box

Three Web CubeThree UK have just introduced a new product to their broadband range, the Webcube. This little device  is a small little box that acts as a 3G Wifi router.  It will take your sim from ThreeUK and allow you to have wifi around your house without having to pay line rental to one of the major phone/ISP providers.

This will be great for students, people that rent, holiday's etc all you need to do is plug the device in. If you are moving no more worrying about moving lines etc and being down for a while, just unplug this and plug it in the new location.

The Web Cube is HSPA+ enabled to the 21.1Mbps technical standard, to deliver typical download speeds of 2-5Mbps, comparable to those of entry-level fixed-line broadband solutions, with the potential to reach a maximum download speed in excess of 10Mbps.

Like their current Mifi product you can have up to five Wi-Fi enabled devices can be connected at any one time, this will include your phones, computers, tablets, consoles etc.  It has a range of around 30 meters but your home environment may reduce the range, as is the case with all wireless routers.

Currently this is not nationwide, it is being tested in Leeds, Glasgow and Edinburgh, I am sure it won't be long before it's rolled out to everyone.

I am always interested in your thoughts so if you have any comments or feedback then please feel free to add any comments, or you can mail me  here.
