Prevent external people looking into GMail

There has been quite a bit of press recently about the announcement that staff at development houses are getting certain access to GMail accounts.  It's been known for a while about Google accessing and reading your email to service you ads etc, but this is people from external companies.

There are some simple steps you can take to see what you have given access to and revoke the access from these third party companies.

If you login to Gmail, click on you profile image, from there click google account.  From there click on apps with account access.

From there you will be able to see what apps have access to your Google account, from here you can see who has access to your email, if you have permissioned any.

Then you click remove access to prevent this.
