How to check your Apple subscriptions on iPhone (and what to do next)
If you have ever seen a charge from Apple and wondered what it was for, the quickest way to confirm is to check your subscriptions in iPhone Settings. This is where Apple lists active subscriptions, expired ones, and options to cancel or change plans.
The quick steps (iPhone)
Open Settings
Tap your name (Apple Account) at the top
Tap Subscriptions
You will now see a list of subscriptions tied to your Apple Account.
What you will see on the Subscriptions screen
Active subscriptions
These are currently billing.
Expired subscriptions
Useful for understanding old charges, or restarting something you previously cancelled.
Pricing and renewal dates
Tap any subscription to see:
what plan you are on
how much it costs
when it renews
available upgrade or downgrade options
How to cancel a subscription
Go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions
Tap the subscription you want to stop
Tap Cancel Subscription (or Cancel Free Trial)
Apple will usually let the subscription run until the end of the current billing period, even after you cancel.
A couple of quick tips to avoid surprises
If you share purchases with Family Sharing, make sure you are checking the correct Apple Account.
Some apps bill through Apple, others bill directly with the company. If a subscription is not listed here, it may have been purchased outside the App Store.
