So this week in the office I had a mild panic when Notion would not load on the workstation I was on. I loaded Edge, went to https://www.notion.so, entered by email address and then from there it would do nothing. It would not move on to allow me to enter the password, on the machine I used on the previous day it worked fine.
This was not an access problem is the site being blocked, but I needed to get it sorted. I loaded the Developer tools in the browser to try and see where this was a problem. Once I had the console open I could see it was having trouble with the following address.
https://www.notion.so/api/v3/getLoginOptions
I loaded this link into another browser tab and there was a button in the middle of the screen saying Verify I am not a bot.
I clicked on the link and it brought up a set of the Captcha boxes, once I had selected all the Crosswalks it verified I am not a bot. I opened up another tab, went to Notion homepage again, it would skip to the password box so I could login and use Notion from the browser again.
If you are ever stuck with this not getting past the email address, you may want to try this.
