So Apple has released it’s most downloaded free apps of 2020, and the winner was ………. Zoom.
Coming in a respectable second place was the NHS Covid-19 track and trace application. Picking up the Bronze medal was TikTok.
The NHS app has been downloaded an amazing 20,056,685 times, WOW, this is just the Apple app store, wonder how many times it was downloaded from the Google Play Store.
I have downloaded the app and I can verify that it works as it should do. My wife was very ill with Covid-19 and when she had gone for her test and was told she was positive, then within a couple of hours my phone had alerted me that I had been regular close contact with someone had tested positive and that I need to self isolate.
No surprise with Zoom being the top app with the majority of people working from home and all the kids doing online classes using Zoom
