Microsoft to acquire Github

So Microsoft are going to purchase Github for $7.5 billion dollars, so small change there.  It should all be done by the end of the year.

Microsoft say they will leave it to run independently which is good, so this can only get better in the future can't it?

I can understand there are many concerns that they will change it and make it more of a corporate application, but I don't think they will change it too much otherwise people will leave, they reason it's so popular is because of the simplicity and the very fact its so open.

So what side are you on, good for Github or Bad?
