So I was just reading about how the official La Liga application has been spying on people through the microphone and via GPS on Android devices.
They reckon this is justifed and the privacy is not a problem. There justification is that they are trying to stop illegal streams of the football matches by matching the audio and your GPS location, this supposgely costs them 150 million euros a year.
The application has been downloaded over 10 million times so there is a lot of data to gather from when the feature was enabled recently on the 8th June.
They also say it's acceptable because people give permission to use these features when they install the app.
There is an official statement on their website, it is in Spanish.
This just highlights that you may want to read all the permissions you grant to some of these applications when you install them
