So today Dixons Carphone had admitted to a huge breach. It's being reported that "hacking attempt" began in July last year, not really an attempt as they did manage to get records, also if it started last July why are we finding out now?.
They have contacted banks and there is no evidence of the cards accessed being used fradulently so far.
They are saying there was an attempt to steal 5.8 million cards but only 105,000 have been leaked, these are cards that don't use Chip and Pin.
There was also personal records of 1.2 million people access by the hackers.
As you can imagine this has hit their share price.
