Well here are some ideas, may be something different, perhaps a software subscription, something like Evernote Premium, or Trello Gold, or pay for the Anti-Virus software for a year.
Another nice idea would be a subscription to XBOX Live or PS4 Playstation plus voucher, these always run out always good to have.

How about if you are thinking going big then a New Tablet perhaps. Whether they prefer Android, Apple or Windows there are some great tablets out there. If you are thinking an iPad I would go for the pro version, I prefer them, however the Surface Pro or many of the Samsung Android tablets are also very impressive.
Then there are a number of accesories for the tablets, for the Android Tablets and iPads, there could be a Bluetooth Keyboard, some a combined with a case, or even a stylus like the Apple pencil, something like that.
Worse case Amazon Vouchers always a winner, you can schedule them to get an email first thing in the morning with a nice message.
