TP Link Wireless Plug

I have recently been given one of these for review before Christmas and I have to say this was very good.  It is designed to work with Alexa and it has been flawless so far, to the point I want to get many more.

To set this up you need to down an app to your phone, the app is Kasa and you use this to configure the devices.  The setup is nice and simple, you connect to the device to then join it to your home network.  As I said this was very simple, this was done in a couple of minutes.  Once completed add the TPLink Kasa Skill to your Alexa, again all done from your mobile.

You name the plugs so you call them to something that suits you, I named my first one "Wireless Plug".  This was an absolute life saver with the Christmas lights, no more scrambling behind to switch the lights on and off, just one command through Alexa and the lights either came on or went off, all I had to do was say "Alexa, turn wireless plug off"

One good use will be for the xbox or the TV, when you call the kids and they ignore you or the just finish this bit, one command it will all go off, cruel but useful.

I have a number of uses for these no more scrambling around under the desk etc, just a simple voice command. The only small thing I could say is it would be good if they were a bit smaller, they are quite bulky and if you have extension leads where they face each other could be a problem for the plug on the other side.

One big plus point for these is you don't need a seperate hub to run them like some home automation products, just connect your own Wifi.  You can get them on Amazon, and I highly recommend them, they are priced around £25.

I am always interested in your thoughts so if you have any comments or feedback then please feel free to add any comments, or you can mail me  here.
