Goodbye Flash, we won't miss you

So we start the year by saying goodbye to Adobe Flash Player. This has been out there since 1996, and I am surprised it has lasted this long.

This has to be one of the most updated pieces of software because of the sheer amount of vulnerabilities, I was forever having to update this.

It was kind of strange this morning, as soon as I loaded my computer I was prompted with the below.

I was shocked as I thought I had removed this, but I will for sure now.

I maybe a bit harsh saying good riddance, at the time it was very good for allowing people to make games and show videos in a browser, at one time it was heavily used for YouTube videos. A staggering stat from the BBC is saying that in 2009 it was on 99% on internet connected desktops. It was full of bugs and security issues and sadly they did not evolve quick enough with mobile devices and HTML5 was the final nail in the coffin for this.
