I do like this picture and it is very true. I think the only thing that is missing is just after the lines have crossed the non geek should be asking for the script/tool that was written to automate the task.
Geek Tasks
There has been many times before I have had this, "What's the point it only takes x minutes anyway" or another one "If you automate that we will have less to do" plus many more. My argument is no you will have more time to do/learn more, the more you automate the simple/repetitive or even mundane tasks, the more time you have to work on something more exciting.
