the application cannot be opened -1712
Today I noticed a couple of my automated jobs had stopped working, as I hadn't had the mails with the outputs, plus I could see the log had not updated. There were no errors, so I tried to run one of the jobs manually, that is when I got the error message from the title
the application cannot be opened -1712
To overcome this error, you can try the following steps
- Load Activity Monitor
- In the top right search box type in the application name
- One you see the process name (will probably be in red as there is a problem)
- Click the process then go the View menu and select Quit Process
- When you get the prompt click Force Quit
Once you have done that you should be able to load the application you were having problems with.
