Google Chrome Extensions - Web of Trust

This follows on from my previous posts regarding the extensions I use with Google's Chrome browser.  You can read my other posts by clicking on the following links, Passwordfail and Viewthru.

Web of Trust is a traffic light symbol system that displays how safe a website is.  The difference is this is not decided by an anti virus company, this is a crowd sourced system.  You can see the icon next to your address bar in the browser.

Sites are rated by a global community of users, who rate the website based on their experience of using them.  It also will display a rating next to the search results.  Links in applications such as Twitter etc and also covered as well.

You can click on the icon to display more details about the site you are concerned with, it looks like

You can also download the plugin from this link.  So what extensions do you use with Chrome, please feel free to pass them on.

I am always interested in your thoughts so if you have any comments or feedback then please feel free to add any comments, or you can mail me  here.

Google Chrome Extensions - ViewThru

These next few posts are just quick posts about a couple of the extensions I use with Googles chrome browser.  This first one I use is called View Thru.

This is a great extension which allows you to see the full link behind a shortened URL.  Once you hover over the link it will display the full web address.  As you can see from the picture below.

I find this to be very quick displaying the link, it was pretty much instant.  As there are more and more shortened URL's popping up and not all of them being legitimate links.  I recommend that if you are using chrome, you should install this extension.

Do you have any good extensions to recommend?, I would love to hear about some more that people are using.
